I want to order a track for a set of double wooden interior sliding doors but I only seem to be able to find sets with enough pieces for one door. How do I get the extra hangers, floor guide etc?

We assume you are looking at the Rollan or Perlan sliding door gear, and making a double sliding door set?  You’ll simply need to buy an extra door pack, listed under the components on each page.

Regarding Hush sliding door gear, is the quoted weight per door or the total of a pair?

I have a wardrobe made in Germany (no name), one of the door wheel runners has broken, it is 2.1/4″ diameter, could you assist please?

We can only supply sliding door spares (in the form of extra door packs) for sliding door gear made by Geze (who are German) and Coburn (who aren’t).  Unless your sliding door gear looks exactly like that shown in the … Continue reading

Has the volcanic eruption in Iceland of Eyjafjallajokull had any impact on your delivery lead times?

Almost all the products we supply are either made in Britain or stocked here in Britain, so there has been very little effect on availability.  We are however waiting for a delayed shipment of Projeto 150G glass hangers which were … Continue reading

I am using 2120mm high doors (PVC edged – 18mm board) at 560 wide. This is above the max height recommendation of 2m for the ‘twin 60’, will this be ok? As a matter of interest (for future reference) would I be able to use the ‘Jason Bottom Rolling Sliding Door Gear’ for doors of 2120 x 560 (18mm). Again I am aware that the height is well above the recommended 1.5m but I believe that the weight of the doors themselves would be less than the max 25kg stated.

The maximum dimensions of doors for Twin 60 and Jason recommended by the manufacturer Coburn is a guideline only.  According to Coburn’s technical department, it was laid down by the original designer of the system and any evidence & reasoning … Continue reading

Can you tell me what width the stud walls need to be to house the Hideaway pocket kit please?

The finished wall thickness outside the Hideaway pocket door kit will be 115 – 120mm (depending whether you use the packer which comes in the kit or not).  This assumes 2 x 12.5mm thick wall boards are used.

I’m looking for a door closer for a balcony door that opens out. Since we have blinds on the inside the closer would ideally be on the outside so would need to be weatherproof (very exposed position). Also need a hold open just past 90 degrees. What would you recommend?

To fit a door closer outside on the pull (hinges visible) side of the door is not a problem.  Corrosion resistance like this can only be achieved with a “Wetroom” finish.  I’d recommend FIRSTLY EITHER:- a Geze TS4000 body only … Continue reading
