The only door closer which can be concealed in the top of a timber door would be the Geze Boxer, however this is not suitable to be used on an external door, so I don’t know what to suggest. If it doesn’t need to be concealed then a normal door closer would be OK, fitted inside the porch in the Figure 61 position, with the body on the door and the arm on the frame.
