Our iMpero pocket door system DOES come with stops in the track, so that’s how you control the door on maximum opening.  And the Hideaway pocket door kit comes with a rubber buffer which you attach to the back of the door.

Would it be possible to adapt your Hide away system to encorporate a glass door?

Unfortunately there are no compatible glass clamps available for the Hideaway system.  The two alternatives you might consider are the iMpero pocket door system, buying additional glass clamps (+ probably the timber jambs for glass doors), OR buying a Rollan 80G or Perlan 140G sliding door kit for glass and constructing your own cavity supports for the pocket door*.  Links to those pages on our website are highlighted within the text.
* Prices there dependant on the size/weight of the glass door to be used.

I’m looking to divide up two rooms in my house. At the moment I have an opening in a studded partition wall 1375mm wide by 2055mm high. My question relates to the Hideaway pocket door system; is it possible to retro fit the system to a wall which is already completed or can it only be fitted to a frame specially built to suit the system?

It is possible to retro fit a Hideaway kit by opening the stud walling on one side only, but how much work this will be will depend on what you find inside the wall in terms of the structure already there.  In terms of width you’ll need (2 x door width) + 1 inch.
