SAHECO SF Roller

The SAHECO SF-Roller Low Headroom sliding door kit is now in stock – with optional Soft Brake – it uses a clean design track profile with a full length wall mounting bracket giving a very small gap between the door and the track. The bracket, with concealed fixings, provides support to the track whilst maintaining the overall clean crisp profile. Couple this with the low head room door mounting and the SAHECO SF-Roller system provides an completely contained sliding door track without the need for bulky pelmets.

Projeto 150 sliding door gear in contemporary stainless steel

projeto 150G sliding door gear for frameless glass
The Projeto 150 is an Italian style designer sliding door gear for frameless glass doors.  The satin stainless steel track comes in various lengths and can be cut down.  Rubber covered rollers give a smooth quiet action.  The sliding door kit comes complete with track, single wheel hangers, wall mounting brackets, double end stops, rail end plug and floor guide.  A double door kit also includes centre stops.  The hollow track offers the advantage of fully concealed mounting to the wall or ceiling.  The track is also much lighter than solid designs whilst maintaining excellent strength and rigidity for the sliding door.  This makes the installation of the unit simpler and it can be carried out by a single person for the shorter track lengths.  Anti-jump blocks fitted to the hangers not only stop the door jumping off the rail but are removable, and allow the fitting of the door after the track has been installed, thus simplifying the installation.  All our Projeto kits come with the tracks pre-drilled and the wall brackets already fitted for quick easy installation, in this photo Gneiwko shows the pre-assembly process to MP Anne Marie Morris.

Using the GEZE Rollan sliding door gear within an opening instead of a pocket door kit, such as the Hideaway or iMpero (building a homemade ‘pocket’ of your own design). Is there a reason why this wouldn’t work?

The GEZE Rollan sliding door gear can be used inside your own stud work to form a pocket door system – quite a lot of people do this in our experience.  The only disadvantage might be that in order to get a nice rigid wall structure you would have to use some strengthening material in the pocket, and this would give you a thicker finished wall.  It is especially appropriate to consider using sliding door track systems instead of pocket door kits when you already have a rigid block or brick wall forming one side of the pocket, then side mounting the track with the brackets which come in our GEZE Rollan & Perlan kits.

Using Foldaside 100 track where all 4 doors fold to 1 side, what keeps the doors flat in the closed position, do they “snap” closed with springs on the hangers in the track or do they have to be bolted to the floor?

The Foldaside 100 kits are supplied with flush bolts to keep the doors in place when open flat.  The 4 door kit comes with 2 flush bolts which would be positioned at the top of the doors, possibly the end of leaf 1 & 3 (or 2 & 4) and either bolted into the track, or aside the track depending on your door thickness etc.
