Geze Slimdrives?
August 5, 2010 by helen
Q: (from Nick) I need a Geze Slimdrive EMD F-IS double swing operator with motion detectors.
A: (from Doorstuff) Although we ARE Geze distributors, we don't currently supply automatic door operators. Can I refer you to Geze themselves, you can phone them on 01543 443000 ask for the autos dept. Alternatively you can email them through the contact details on their website:- http://www.geze.co.uk/

I require a spare part for wardrobe sliding door. It is the wheel mechanism. Unsure about make of wardrobe as in house when we bought house, please see photo below.

Thank you for the photo. Unfortunately the wheels are not from one of our sliding systems (Geze, Coburn or Projeto). Perhaps if you send this photo to other sliding door companies, someone will recognise them and may be able to supply spare parts.

We already have Exidor push opening system on all our exterior doors, and we have a key lock on the outside, we need to replace all the locks with a push button system. Does the thicknesses of the doors matter? Can we set them to be unlocked sometimes?

The CL1's and CL2's can be fitted to doors up to 60mm thick without modification. The CL1 digital lock requires the code to be entered every time the door is opened from the outside. The CL2 can operate that way, but can also be set to "passage function" which allows free access from the outside, as if it were just a door handle. CL1 and CL2 are the same price. 0 comments
What are pullman catches?
August 11, 2010 by Editor
Q (from Rachel) We are looking for a Panic bar to suit a uPVC french door. We don't need a handle on the outside. The Exidor 502A-B looks like it will do the job. What do the optional extras mean (Horizontal pullman catches & Vertical pullman catches)?
A: (from Doorstuff) The pullman catches offer better security, and for a uPVC door, you'd probably go for the vertical ones. If you don't, the unit is supplied with a top trip to suit a uPVC door, so it will still work OK. More important things to consider though - Is there any internal locking system already in the door, how does the door currently operate, is it a single or double door? Any current locking & handles will need to be disengaged so the only lock on the door will be the Exidor 502A-B to meet fire regulations. 0 comments
Q: I need to adjust some fire doors which are all fitted with Geze TS2000 closers, we can adjust the speed but not the latch speed, can you advise us?

A: The latching adjustment for a TS2000 is set by changing the position of the arm, see this link to our web page, then scroll to the bottom and look at the Fitting pdf, it's shown on page 2 of 6. I have summarised the information in this little sketch:-

Q: Could you tell me if the AL155 door handle can be used on an exterior door or are they only suitable for internal use?
August 15, 2010 by Editor
A: The AL155 is probably more suitable as an internal door handle. There is a similar one available in Stainless Steel, the S129 which has the dimpled design as well, which would be more weather resistant.

I'm trying to replace a concealed door closer which I believe is a Geze Boxer. The body of the one I have measures 240mm long, but on the pdf you show the length to be 286m, it'd the same on Geze's own website, and everywhere else I've looked. Please help?

On the technical drawing on Geze's pdf, the prominent dimension 286m appears to be the length of the body, but in fact it refers to the MORTICE length, and the Geze Boxer body length IS 240mm as you have measured. 0 comments
