Specifications:
The Foldaside 240 can be used on 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 or 8 doors up to 36kg and up to 800mm wide. Suitable for room dividers etc., the Foldaside 240 system is top hung on nylon rollers for smooth operation.
The system can be used for an odd number of leaves allowing the last leaf to be used independently as an access door without having slide any of the other doors.

Floor guide:
The floor guide and channel enables the doors to slide with little resistance and takes most of the lateral load off the hinges. The bottom channel is recessed into the floor or timber threshold. It is full length on even-door-leaf kits but, on odd-door-leaf kits it extends only to the last pair of folding leaves.

Pivots or hinges:

Where the door leaves are to be of equal width, the first door needs to be pivoted. To allow it to pivot effectively, the door's edge needs to be radiused and the frame is to have no stops fitted. All subsequent doors are hinged together.

Hinges can be used on the first leaf but require this leaf to be narrower than the others. The first leaf needs to be narrower by 29mm plus half the leaf thickness, thus for a 35mm thick door the first leaf is 47mm less wide and for a 44mm thick door it is 51mm less wide. All the other leaves still need to be the same size.

For full details of how hinges and pivots effect the door sizes and which is best for your application see our Pivot / Hinge guide by clicking here.

Flush bolts:
Flush bolts are used to secure the doors in the closed position. They are fitted into the bottom or top of the doors just above or below the hinges. Supplied in satin chrome finish.

What do you get in each kit:

All kits are designed to take the maximum door size of 800mm. For narrower doors cut down the top and bottom tracks to suit.
