Q: Would it be possible to adapt your Hideaway system to incorporate a glass door?

Unfortunately there are no compatible glass clamps available for the Hideaway system.  The two alternatives you might consider are the iMpero pocket door system buying additional glass clamps (+ probably the timber jambs for glass doors), OR buying a Rollan … Continue reading

Do you have an agent in the Rep. of Ireland? I am interested in the Exidor panic hardware.

We don’t have an agent in Ireland.  We use TNT shipping, so theoretically we can supply anywhere.  Contact us directly with your town & county, we can calculate the weight of your shipment and provide a shipping quote.

Q: Please can you confirm if you have any sliding door kits that are suitable for a kitchen. In particular I am concerned that a kitchen door is normally a fire door. Do sliding doors meet the safety/building requirements for use as a kitchen door and if so which kit should I use?

A: The only fire rated sliding door gear we can offer is the iMpero pocket door fire door kit.  A “normal” (i.e. non-pocket) sliding door could not ever meet fire regulations because of the inevitable air spaces between the wall and … Continue reading

I’m looking for a door closer for the front door of my little shop. I think something like the Geze TS1500 will be suitable. The thing that’s worrying me is that the door is directly under a thick lintel. There’s only 30mm from the top of the door to the underside of the lintel. Is this enough space to fit a TS1500?

We assume that the door is inward opening and therefore the door closer will be fitted to the inside of the door (PULL side)?  Then the Geze TS1500 will be a good door closer for you if there’s enough room on … Continue reading

I’m looking to divide up two rooms in my house. At the moment I have an opening in a studded partition wall 1375mm wide by 2055mm high. My question relates to the Hideaway pocket door system; is it possible to retro fit the system to a wall which is already completed or can it only be fitted to a frame specially built to suit the system?

It is possible to retro fit a Hideaway kit by opening the stud walling on one side only, but how much work this will be will depend on what you find inside the wall in terms of the structure already … Continue reading

I want a concealed door closer for an opening angle of 180deg. Door thickness 65mm, width 3FT, height 10FT. What product do I need?

As long as this is a single action door, the only option for this door is a floor spring door closer. Read about them here, or get in touch for more information.
