BAFTA’s fine sliding folding door gear

sliding folding door gear

This fine example of sliding folding door gear was noted this weekend at BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in Piccadilly – in this case a seven metre expanse separating two entertaining areas on the first floor.  These sliding folding doors (three one metre leaves and one half-metre leaf either side) are fire-rated and centre-folding, allowing obstacle-free passage once the doors are opened as shown, making it an ideal system for interior dividers.  There is no floor guide, just surface mounted bolts sinking into dust excluding sockets.  The sliding folding doors in use float effortlessly over the opening enabling the easy rearrangement of facilities with the minimum of disruption.
